How Much Does a Webflow Website Cost?

A practical breakdown of the costs behind a Webflow website, including hosting, domains, localization, third-party services, and optional ongoing expenses.

1. Basic Costs

Webflow Starter Plan

The free Starter plan can work for simple sites and prototypes, but it comes with significant limitations.

  • you can’t connect a custom domain, so the site remains on a webflow.io subdomain;
  • form submissions are limited;
  • some custom-code and advanced functionality is restricted;
  • site capacity is limited compared with paid plans.

2. Paid Webflow Hosting

Basic Site Plan

Suitable for:

  • landing pages;
  • corporate websites without a CMS;
  • multi-page websites without CMS functionality.

Pricing changes over time, so check Webflow’s current pricing before purchasing.

CMS Site Plan

Typically needed when the website includes:

  • a blog or news section;
  • a portfolio;
  • template-driven pages managed through the CMS.

Current pricing should always be verified on Webflow’s official pricing page.

3. Custom Domain

A domain is purchased separately from Webflow. Typical pricing varies by extension and registrar, and premium domains can cost significantly more.

In practice, most clients need a paid Webflow site plan plus a custom domain.

Additional Optional Costs

1. Localization

If your website needs multiple languages, there are several approaches.

Webflow Localization

Pricing depends on the localization plan and number of locales. Check the current add-on pricing at https://webflow.com/pricing#add-ons.

Weglot

Weglot offers a separate translation layer with pricing based on the plan and translation volume: https://www.weglot.com/pricing.

Alternative: duplicated pages

Creating separate language versions manually can avoid an additional localization subscription, but it requires more ongoing editorial work.

2. Licenses for Images, Illustrations, Video, and Fonts

Not every image, video, or font can be used commercially. Using unlicensed assets can lead to takedown requests or financial claims.

If needed, budget separately for commercial licenses. Otherwise, use assets that are explicitly licensed for commercial use.

3. Webflow Workspace

A Workspace can be useful when multiple people need controlled access to sites without sharing account credentials.

Pricing depends on the Workspace plan. Current pricing is available at https://webflow.com/pricing#workspaces.

In many projects, a Workspace plan is not required if appropriate site access is sufficient.

4. Other Potential Costs

Depending on the project, you may also have costs for:

  • CRM, analytics, forms, and other integrations;
  • ecommerce functionality;
  • custom scripts and bespoke functionality;
  • paid APIs or third-party services;
  • ongoing technical support;
  • future design or functionality updates.

These costs should be identified before or during the project estimate.
